How to join Scottish Rite
Freemasonry is a fraternity whose membership must be sought by the candidate. It does not actively recruit candidates. In order to become a Mason, you must ask another Mason.
To become a Scottish Rite Mason, you must first be a Master Mason.
If you are an Illinois resident and a Master Mason seeking to join our ranks, you may download a petition for membership below.
If you are an Illinois resident, but not yet a Master Mason, you may use the Grand Lodge of Illinois website to locate your local Lodge and inquire about membership.
Scottish Rite Valley of Southern Illinois – Petition for Restoration
If you have been suspended from the Scottish Rite Valley of Southern Illinois for three (3) years or longer you may reinstate to the Valley for $115.00. This restoration program may only be used one time.
Scottish Rite Valley of Southern Illinois – Officer Application
If you are a member of the Valley of Southern Illinois and would like to become an Officer or Board Member; please take the time to fill in this application and submit it to the Scottish Rite Valley Office.
If you are an out-of-state Mason, you may use the Scottish Rite Northern Masonic Jurisdiction website to locate the Valley nearest to you for inquiry regarding membership.
